During the first few scenes with Icabald, the story sets a very uneasy scene that Icabald in walking into. The town almost looks like a ghost town, nobody in the streets with very gloomy and eerie lighting holding the town hostage. The only sign of life in the town is the smoke escaping from the chimneys, this is a very good establishing shot, the first thing that is presented to the audience is a graveyard and no sign of life in the streets. The deer heads give an intimidating feel, and the down feels very unwelcoming visually, the buildings in the town are very elongated and look very sharp. In the next scene where Icabald in the town the camera angle changes from an establishing shot to an eye-level shot, giving the audience a feeling of being small and irrelevant. Icabald is visually confused about where he is and where to go once he is in the town, people in the town close themselves off from Icabald which gives a feeling of an intense unwelcoming feeling. The uneasy feeling continues as Icabald sees people in the town, the people look very pale, and shady.
Scene Discription
Icabald felt uneasy and confused as he wandered through the shady and mysterious village. Dark misty sky peered down observing the village, covering it in a blanket of darkness. The townspeople seemed to unwelcome Icabald, turning themselves away into the comfort of their homes from the first sight of him. Thick gloomy trees surrounded the village, holding it hostage from the outside world. Mist filled the streets gifting the town ice-cold frostbite, Townspeople on the edge of the village looked pale, on the edge and scared, their eyes plagued with the horrors of the past. Icabald began to hurry, the overwhelming feeling of uneasiness flooded him.
